The three timber and hunting tracts being offered in the March 28 Auction total 1,453± acres, range in size from 310±
to 788± acres, and are located at the northwest and western boundaries of the Elliott State Forest, with access from
county and Elliott State Forest roads. These lands are within the Tioga Wildlife Management Unit, known for excellent
Roosevelt elk hunting. Each tract qualifies for two Land Owner Preference Tags. Both the Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area
and the O.H. Hinsdale Interpretive Center are located near the East Hakki Ridge tract, home to a resident elk herd.
