DESCRIPTION: This 40± acre tract is located 11 miles west of Sutherlin and two miles south of the Umpqua riverfront community of Tyee, along a ridge top by Golden Bar, overlooking the Umpqua River. The Douglas fir site index is 132. There is an estimated 841 MBF of primarily 46± year old Douglas fir timber, which will require a mixture of ground and cable-yarding systems to harvest. There is good access from a logging road on the ridge top area. There is an owl nest near the southwest corner of the tract and wildlife trees will be retained for an osprey and eagle nest (see Supplemental Information Package for details). The property has excellent access to log markets in Eugene, Cottage Grove, Sutherlin, Roseburg, Riddle and Dillard.
