PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
The irregular-shaped property, located in Wallowa County, consists
of 127± acres, with the northern portion of the land along
the western bank of the Minam River, and contains an airstrip, lodge,
cabins, horse barn, shop, sawmill and other improvements. Elevations
range from 3,600± feet to 3,800± feet. There is an
estimated 35 acres of open pasture with the balance of the property,
or 90± acres, forested with stands of old-growth ponderosa
pine and fir that can be used in the sawmill for maintenance of
the lodge property.
The southern portion of the property is rectangular in shape, located
on both sides of the Minam River, and adjoins the historic Red's
Horse Ranch owned by the U.S. Forest Service. A 1,200± foot
trestle bridge on Red's Horse Ranch provides access to the eastern
side of the Minam River.
There is an easement along the eastern portion of the property
for Minam River Trail, which provides hiking and riding activities
along the eastern bank of the Minam River. |
