Block B is a self-contained peninsula between Fivemile and Mallard Arms
along the southeastern shoreline of Tahkenitch Lake and has access to
the southeast from Fivemile Creek Road which connects to Highway 101.
The topography is primarily a series of ridges with moderate slopes and
views of Tahkenitch Lake and northeast along Fivemile Creek. 765±
acres, or 56% of the stands, are in the 16 to 30 year age class and will
provide significant growth in volume during the next 10 to 15 years. There
is no merch volume at this time on Block B. The balance of Block B, or
601± acres, has younger reproduction in the 6 to 15 year age class.
The inactive Southern Pacific Railroad line runs along the western shoreline.
There is a power right-of-way that crosses the southeast corner. Block
B could be easily managed as a stand alone tree farm or developed as a
private retreat with gated entry from Fivemile County Road.
