DESCRIPTION: This 84± acre timber tract, located 39 miles east of Springfield along the McKenzie River Valley, on the eastern slopes of Mt. Hagan, is one of the Common School Fund properties being sold by the Oregon Department of State Lands. The tract is located within the Willamette National Forest. It has well-stocked stands of primarily 19 to 24 year old Douglas fir with 47.5± acres of 24 year old reproduction and 32.4± acres of 19 year old Douglas fir. The site index is 112, or a site class of III+. The property has moderate to steep east-facing slopes with physical access to the southwest corner from a logging road, and potential access to the northwest corner with some additional road construction. There is no legal access with adjoining lands owned by a private timberland company. There is a locked gate and entry permit is required. An easement or road use permit will be required.
