DESCRIPTION: This 37± acre timber tract is located 13 miles southeast of Cottage Grove, within the Big River drainage, which is a tributary to the Coast Fork of the Willamette River. The property has primarily east-facing slopes above Edwards Creek and physical access on BLM Road and is adjacent to both private and BLM property. It is one of the Common School Fund properties being sold as part of this Auction by the Oregon Department of State Lands. The Tract has a well-stocked stand of primarily 25-year-old Douglas fir. The topography is gentle in the northwest and southeast sections, and then moderate to steep in the remaining. The BLM road provides access to the northwest corner, but an access permit from the BLM would need to be acquired for legal access. There are two small creeks along the eastern portion of the property that are not fish-bearing creeks, and therefore do not require a RMA. The site index for Douglas fir is 114, or high Class III.

LOCATION: Township 23 South, Range 2 West, Section 6, Tax Lot 700. From Cottage Grove take London Road to Big River Road and then to Edwards Creek Road (23-2-7). Proceed east one mile to BLM Spur Road. Take the BLM Road to the property. (See map.)
