Bids can be submitted for Rock Creek Tree Farm in its entirety,
or in a combination of any one or multiple of Blocks A, B, C, and
D.
Rock Creek Tree Farm is located within the Rock Creek Watershed,
tributary to the North Umpqua River, and near the Rock Creek Fish
Hatchery. There is an estimated 5.3 miles of Rock Creek and 2.4
miles of East Fork Rock Creek frontage, providing opportunity to
obtain potential conservation and recreation values. Several BLM
campgrounds are located nearby. Rosboro, in cooperation with the
Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, is participating in a Salmonid
Habitat Restoration and Enhancement Project located on a portion
of the property. There are no conservation easements on the Tree
Farm and there may be some future value in trading or selling carbon
credits due to the age class distribution.
